  • When Maths Was Difficult

I was alive before the pocket calculator was invented! Those were the days of mechanical adding machines – like the one on the left. Occasionally, we had lessons with them at school, to introduce us to the marvel of mechanical accounting. It was wonderfully satisfying to turn the handle and stamp the answer on the…

  • Chapter 6 Response – Stop Waiting, Start Doing

In this personal response to Chapter 6 of The Certain Way, I reflect on my own creative journey — from being a frustrated illustrator to finding the path that actually worked. You’ll hear about the lessons I learned buying a watch, launching a YouTube channel, and selling a piece of software at a car boot…

  • How Riches Come To You (It’s not what you think)

Not by magic. Not by luck. Not by taking from others. In this chapter 6 response of The Certain Way, I explain the real mechanism behind wealth: giving more in use value than you take in payment – and aligning your intention with nature’s own drive for fuller expression. You’ll learn why asking for more…

  • Thought and the Formless Stuff – Chapter 4 The Certain Way

Chapter 4 of The Certain Way tackles one of the most ancient questions of all: where does everything come from? Not just wealth or success but the very fabric of life itself. In this chapter, we explore the idea that everything begins with thought, and that thought, when focused and held with certainty, impresses itself…

  • What Does It Really Mean to Be Rich? – Response to Chapter 2

What does it actually mean to be rich? In this response to Chapter 2 of The Certain Way, I explore the difference between having money and being rich. Most of us were raised on confusing ideas, that being rich is selfish, or flashy, or something that happens only to others. But being rich, as I…

  • There Is a Science of Getting Rich – Chapter 2 The Certain Way

In Chapter 2 of The Certain Way, we dig into a radical idea: There is a science of getting rich. And if you follow it like a formula, it works. This isn’t about tricks or manifesting. It’s about: Getting rich doesn’t depend on environment, talent, or background. It depends on doing things in a certain way.…

  • Creators! – What Britain after the Empire can teach you about YouTube

I’ve always loved history – not for blaming our ancestors, but for learning lessons we can apply today. History doesn’t repeat, but it often rhymes. I grew up in the shadow of the British Empire. At school we were taught about the East India Company and how this small group of men built an empire…

  • The Fallow Ground

Oh, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking these last few years. That thinking became more focused when I finally accepted that I’d burned myself out – and started trying to understand why. I wasn’t partying or drifting. I was burning the candle at both ends – and in the middle too – chasing ideas,…

Isn’t this just another self-help hustle?

That’s a fair question.

I’ve wrestled with it myself, especially since The Certain Way is based on The Science of Getting Rich, by Wallace Wattles. It sounds a bit like I’ve joined the ranks of content gurus selling success in exchange for clicks.

Here’s the truth: Yes, I want to make money from my book, website and YouTube videos. Not millions. Not a funnel. Enough to prove the method works.

But here’s the paradox: If I make money by teaching this method, doesn’t that feel like circular logic? Like I’m profiting from the message, not applying it?

Maybe, but I’d argue this is the work. Because I’m not selling hype, I’m testing a framework in public, to see whether clear, creative thought can still shape real results in the middle of the AI collapse.

I’m not offering shortcuts. I’m offering structure. I’m not pretending to be above the system. I’m just trying to navigate it with integrity and leave a clear path for anyone else who wants to do the same.

So no, this isn’t a hustle.

It’s fieldwork.
